Warrnambool’s Hopkins River to get upgrades | The Standard

Almost $350,000 will be spent on upgrading facilities along Warrnambool’s rivers after the city council was successful in securing funding. Jubilee Park near Allansford will get accessible toilets which will be fully funded after receiving $230,000 from the state government. The Victorian Fisheries Authority has also provided $99,000 to extend the Jubilee Park boat ramp at Allansford and another $12,000 to improve seats and ladders on a fishing pontoon. More works could soon be on the way if the council is successful in its application to Better Boating Victoria for another $215,000 worth of works that would be funded with a 20 per cent commitment from city coffers.
